You have brought out the difference between poetry and philosophy in this poem. The word Surrogate, I can see is an imagery. Philosophy does not view truth as conception but as inevitable. In poetry any idea however obvious or profound has to conceived in a new light. Very insightful poem! I really enjoyed it. Short and powerful in impact. Effort has its place in life but at some point inspiration takes over. Thanks for sharing.10/10

This poem has a lumberjack feel it to, especially the part that has the poets, working with words, as though to say they are chopping words into different shapes and forms to make objects deeply conceived in the mind of the beholder, .....hmmm is Ms Nivedita a lumberjack? lol nicely written totally enjoyed thanks for sharing

work hard to be a poet but unless you surrogate you can't be a poet...you do quite well standing for yourself. However, great poets of yore need poets to stand in for them by carry on the language and poetical imagination.
