She fell into a chasm
Too wide that none could reach across

Beautiful poem Valsa. Love the last lines of prayer. That saving breath of grace... an anchor of stormy days.

Beautiful write. The last two lines... Pass over me a breath of wind To cool off the steam building inside'! The last two lines can do wonders in life if one really think in that way. Loved it.

sometimes it is worthy to be senseless. is it worthy! can fear be enjoyed! civilizations... gladiators, the heroes, and a breath of wind? so many thoughts are gathered reading this beautiful poem, thus fear can be enjoyed but not as a subject

A moment, a single moment to which the human soul reacts in front of the miracle of our mortal fate, in a way no other species can react: feeling the depth of its existence it has achieved through thinking of the inevitable of this mortal-unfortunatelly- fate.A real poem is painting such moments of sparking emotion and thought.

I like the juxtaposition between your two stanzas...the opening reads like a common dream theme...the second stanza makes it much more personal...shows the meaning behind the first stanza...a woman on the brink praying for help to delay the fall, protect one from their fears. Yes, the line a breath of wind is lovely.

Pass over me a breath of wind- - - - the Spirit of God is said to be a breath of wind, a sign of His presence in response to our fear, to our prayer, to our need. Without the guidance we too are in danger of falling into chasms too deep for us to ever climb out. Well, that's where this thought-provoking poem took me and a fine place it was to be- -in a moment of prayer. Valsa, this is an incredibly impactful poem on so many levels. Thank you for sharing it with us, my friend. 10++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

The nightmare of falling is a recurrent visitor to many. Mine is getting lost in a strange part of a City (usually Paris for some reason) But the fear is the same. A very powerful poem, Valsa.

Sometimes it is an other person's fate, sometimes a fact in the news, sometimes a single bad news that gets us all steamed up inside and make us forget the Presence which is never an absence. I love the ending of the poem.

She fell into a chasm breaking the seal of chasm. To cool off the steam building inside this is wonderfully expressed. Wideness cannot reach the shore here. This poem mesmerizes mind entirely. This is very interesting.10

Falling into abyss is so easy for humans. We keep falling through every chasm and crevice. Such is the plight of man. A great metaphoric piece that speaks of human psyche. Fear is a dominant emotion. It is represented in most of our nightmares too. A thoughtful write. A huge 10.

A profound poem on anguish (or is it angst?) . Liked the two-line prayer at the end. A well-selected image too that speaks of nightmares. (10)

Fears and hopes have always played a very important role in human life. Be hopeful. A nice thoughtful poem.

This is awesome! You put into words that metaphorical chasm that at times threatens each one of us. Fear is insidious, and can begin with doubt or skepticism, and then grow into that wide abyss. For some, sadly, that chasm may be literal. A great poem, Valsa.

Simply awesome write and revealing some frightening incident had created the chasm pushing one into wilderness. Off course, like every thing else, it too may be a temporary phase. Regards.
