Changes Poem by ER Bron Chiong, RSW

The Greek philosopher, Heraclitus once said,
"Only change is constant in life! "
To me, he is absolutely right.
Nothing in life is permanent except change.

In this life and the next if you believe in it--
Change will always be there…
All we got to do is get used to it
and move, grow, integrate and develop

A stage of life that takes time to adjust
to a person who seems to be opposed
its either one moves on or die—
this option destines your path in life

Either you adapt to the change or perish
like the dinosaurs of ancient days
that's what Science called adaptation
of any organism to changes happening

Changes occurred in every stage of life
from infancy to adolescence to adulthood—
puberty, maturity, senile and death
terms used to describe these changes

What is indeed important is--
what have you done with your life
is it worthwhile, enjoyable or even exciting
or the opposites of these terms

After living in your borrowed existence
are you ready to face the next phase
the eternal, perpetual, everlasting level
that will never end declares the good book

Life is indeed too short for us all
what matters most is, how you live it
to the fullest or the foolishness of such acts
as smart alecks or idiots and cowards of this world!
