Ella Wheeler Wilcox totally surprised me with this piece. After reading her faith poetry, I would never ever have thought she would write about the changeableness of the human heart and that young love may not linger. That leads to the topic of divorce and that is why I am stunned. The last two stanzas are particularly poignant
