Brian, this is a great piece of writing and you have caught that music of poetry very well indeed. I suppose one measure of poetry is 'Can You Sing It' and with this you certainly can. The words that you have put together. The story of the poem adds weight to the way that you have chosen to present it. Obviously you have a nack for it. keep it up and try to read some poems (if you don't already do so) .
