This is such a wonderful mix of the ordinary and the extraordinary in life, at first it seems like it's going to be all about the quotidian and then suddenly the memory of the beloved enters the poem and the speaker is exhilarated, and so are we. I like the way you understated that closing scene; we don't need a lot of details to realize how different the atmosphere is with HIS PRESENCE added because the exhaustive list of ordinary stuff has prepared for the liberation he represents. Your Love Poems, Susan, are so remarkable. Each one has its own special take on the experience but they are all affirming the wonder of love and convey the most wonderful feelings to the reader. Like me! They'e glowing poems!
