I had a chain mail only once about 30 years ago. It wasn't unpleasant but I didn't know who sent it though I suspected a certain Lady! I still have it somewhere. It is a very interesting subject for a poem and very well written. Is the one who sent it to you still a friend?

Illness will spread before too long. This is how it is in life. Chain Mail is a thought provoking poem that needs to be revised by Flying Lemming. A few minor corrections need to be made. The poem is artistically rhymed, something that is hard to do at times.

I am pleased not to have any friends who burden me with this kind of thing. The people I call friends wouldn't stoop to anything less than a face-to-face threat to knock my block off. And we not only respect each other for that, we see the honor and honestly like each other. I only get chain mail from my in-laws. And it never elicits laughs. This is pretty darn funny.

'How much more friendly can you get Than to pass on a vile nasty threat' yes I gladly broke the chain, passed on no vile nasty threat, a simple return to sender address unknown, old chain mail always has weak spots

The poem highlights a practical issue that is happening in social media like FB, whats App and telephone messages and causing much distress to the addressee. Some people randomly sends religious or prophetic messages saying that if they don't share or forward the messages to such number of people, it will bring ill luck to him.It strikes badly to those who are God fearing or in a weak mental state. It even harms a friendship as the friend may find it too stressful and irritating.Such type of things should stop. Thanks for sharing a poem on this issue.Congratulations for being selected as Poet of the Day.
