This is what a poets mind is a garden in which imagination grows fruits of ideas. People see a centipede in a bathroom and ignore it, or kill it. yet a poet sees something more profound. I love this so much, thanks M.J.

Thank you so much, Kevin. Or, I suspect, many people would choose to see absolutely nothing.

A different look at life. A centipede's venomous heart also should have an enveloping pericardium that can bleed. Whether it is of glass or of stone, it has to beat.. nice one 5*

I should have known what it was--but the vet told me the sac around my horse's heart had ripped open---so now I must reread with that in my mind

I had to go look it up! the membrane enclosing the heart, consisting of an outer fibrous layer and an inner double layer of serous membrane.

A brilliant poem that so succinctly sums up the many colours of love (as symbolised by the centipede) . M.J., your pericardium continues to be strenghtened with the high calibre of your poetry.

Thank you so very much, Richard. In addition to being a brilliant poet, you are evolving into a profound analyst and critic. Happy New Year, my friend. And thanks so much for reading.
