Celestial Visitation Poem by Mervyn Graham

Celestial Visitation

Rating: 5.0

In the stillness of night, an angel came to me,
Tears falling like gentle raindrops, a sight to see.
Her voice, a melody of shattered dreams,
Her spirit, aflutter, seeking solace in moonbeams.

Why she chose me, I couldn't fathom why,
Perhaps her own existence was awry.
Yet, her presence, a balm to my soul's fractures,
In her arrival, I found solace, not raptures.

Loneliness draped her fragile frame,
A heartache whispered, bearing its name.
Silent pleas echoed in her weakened tone,
A longing for peace, a wish to be known.

What was my role in this celestial dance?
An unwitting participant, given a chance.
Was she my angel, my divine calling?
Or merely a sign, my heart's enthralling?

Love, it seemed, found refuge within,
A sanctuary where hope could begin.
Yet, angels, they weave cryptic tales,
Their messages veiled in ethereal veils.

My angel, she found me, this much is true,
Reasons unknown, but faith pulls through.
I surrender to destiny's guiding hand,
Trusting in forces I cannot understand.

Love, in its essence, transcends earthly bounds,
In ways mysterious, it astounds.
Though not in the way of mortal lore,
Our spirits entwine, forevermore.

So, if an angel graces your darkest night,
Fear not, for love shall be your guiding light.
Embrace the tender whispers of divine sight,
For in love's embrace, all is made right.

There's a guardian angel for everyone; we just don't know it.
