Celebrity-Envy Poem by james watkin

Celebrity-Envy

Prized by many, plumes of other lives
By not by all what are their own!
In mixed usage, apparelled for sky
What envy, to the heights has flown?
None say " to better effect are worn";
Remarking, if might, a thrush on
A parakeet's multi-coloured heat;
And that, the summer-going fashion!
Glasses for looking inward are rare.
Rarer of roseate shade!
Most are, to each exotic place-names.
More, to themselves bores, overstayed!
