Celebrating Our Independence' Poem by Dr Shamim Ali

Celebrating Our Independence'

'From Khyber's Pass to Azure Skies: Celebrating Our Independence'

On this day of pride, the 14th of August,

Pakistan's Independence, a dream robust.

A nation's birth, with spirits high,

As we remember those who dared to try.

Quaid-e-Azam, the visionary great,

Led us through the struggles, our destiny's gate.

With wisdom and courage, he steered the way,

To a free nation where we stand today.

Allama Iqbal, the poet profound,

His dreams echoed, with a resounding sound.

He envisioned a land for Muslims' delight,

Where justice and freedom would take flight.

From Lahore's minarets to Karachi's shore,

Our flag unfurls, a symbol we adore.

Green and white, the colors blend,

Unity and faith, they both portend.

Through hardships faced, we've stood as one,

A nation strong, our journey just begun.

With hearts afire, we strive to excel,

In unity, we find our stories to tell.

From Khyber's Pass to Balochistan's plains,

We cherish the land where freedom reigns.

The rivers flow, the mountains rise,

A diverse land beneath azure skies.

On this day, we honor the past,

The sacrifices made, memories that last.

We pay homage to those who fought,

For the freedom we've gained, their battles wrought.

As the crescent moon gleams up high,

We cherish our land beneath the sky.

On Pakistan's Independence Day,

We stand proud, in our own special way
