Autumn's Lovelier Nights

Yeah come over
the night is young
we are warm
love is in the air
all around

We shall give you wine
beer on ice
hope it will suffice
the hearts must remain within
we welcome you day out day in
okay nights in 16 degrees no
you'd love it we hope so
till it's 27 minus and much more
so till then stay warm

these are leaves
which surround me
in my back yard
as autumn advances
adventurers
the night is always young
as I peep
through my window daily
all passers by smile at me

are you composing poetry
delightfully
the night makes me dream
of the morn yet to be born
ere arrives dawn
another autumn is newly born

ages since to ages hence
so within my hearth stay warm
till autumn has once again gone
ere the sun returns home
to the North

till then enjoy me
