Caught In The Act Poem by Dorsey Baker

Caught In The Act

Caught a snake
Crawling out of the barnyard
He told me what he had did
Then he crawled away
Having nothing else to say
That poor snake

He wasn't smart enough
To wear a disguise
A sneaky smile upon his face
Guilt showing in his big
Bright eyes

He made a mistake
Got caught in the act
And this time
He leaves the barnyard
That poor snake
He is gone for good
And he won't be coming back!
