A sincere tribute to a man who must have been a funny and irreverent cartoonist. Strong last line: 'Disgusted by those managing the stage'. Effective use of repetition-'some times'. The actual cartoon is so funny.
It is indeed a pleasure reading your critiques which have depth and an analytical approach. It is so inspiring. Thank you, Michael.
Caroons are a device of social control, the cartoon attached by Rajnish Manga is really interesting. The poem is a lovely one.
I do not know this cartoonist but the ones I do like and follow are a special breed of journalist/reporter/artist/philosopher/humorist/writer. They are capable of amusing people while at the same time educating them about the particular wrongs he sees in society. This poem is an epic tribute to not only this cartoonist but to the entire field of these social commentators. Excellent write.
Thank you for sharing the poem. It's an excellent poem coming straight from your heart. Humour without malice is a protective shield we need so much on our path to sanity and humanity. Regards, A.K. Das
Thanks for visiting the poem and for such nice and thoughtful critique. The tribe of really good cartoonists who are not only sensitive but have also a great sense of humour is dwindling.
A picture worth than thousand words, cartoonist, through caricatures, register the message precisely, powerfully like ur piece of poem, thanks poet
lovely tribute. Thanks for sharing this, especially the cartoon...
a truly fitting eulogy for a great man written by one who is a master with the pen thanks Ragnish
Nice poem about working in the art. Thank you for sharing this artistic work.
Disgusted by those managing the stage. - you know, not so long ago I began to understand that it is WE ourselves who spoil our life (by intrinsic energy floods) /
I remember those days when I desperately wait for the morning news paper to see the cartoon first and then read the other news now I hardly find any humour in them and the cartoons are boring and stupid, That time will never return and we will miss it the most, Good poem Rajnish,10
What a nice tribute to a Cartoonist! . Through their drawings and caricatures, these artistes send strong messages to Society. Similarly, we used to read R.K. Laxman's You said it in Times of India. The one liners used to hit the nail right and proper. Wonderful tribute and a wonderful cartoon. I swear, i am smiling now! Thank you!
They vanished from our society and we all know why and how, RK Laxman was one such genius....Very thoughtful poem in this subject Rajnishji...Liked it.10++++
Cartoonists, satirists, caricrature makers, are unfortunately rare to find nowadays.. Our society is highly in debt to these silent artists, who had done all they could to open up the conscience of the people.. A fitting tribute Rajnish.. We need more of artists, pure artists in this world.. Thank you for sharing.
Floating rights! With a nice dedication to a cartoonist. Thanks for sharing.
nicely penned........ grrrrt sirji.... RIP the great cartoonist
Cartoonists are a class by themselves...... they are very intelligent, well informed and highly observant people with a deep sense of humour! This timely tribute to a great cartoonist, I enjoyed thoroughly with a beautiful cartoon clip to accompany the poem.
It is a great tribute to cartoonists. Beautifully crafted poem. Thanks for sharing.
I think they are serving the society in their own unique way. Thanks a lot, Sir.
