Carry Case Corpse Poem by Blanche Hardin

Carry Case Corpse

Repeatedly battered;
Bones broken and shattered.
Determined to cover their mess,
Scared stiff beyond stress.
Scurrying to hide the incriminating evidence,
Hard to tell without a good defense.
Though puzzled by their thoughts of hiding it “there”,
Anyway otherwise wouldn’t have been anywhere.
