Carnivores Poem by Steve Howard

Carnivores

He was younger and taller,
dressed nicer than me,
as I went in the store,
for some smokes and some tea.
Then when I came out,
He was waiting you bet,
and he said kinda loud,
"Hey man, you got a cigarette? ".
I said, "No thanks, I'm all good.
Got a pack as you see.
But I'm grateful for sure.
Thanks for thinking about me.".
