Katie...well, first, this is an amazing poem =]] I LOVE free verse, but I can't write it myself for some reason... and second, I think it's not necessarily that they cannot see, or that they do not care...what I see all too often is that people see, and care, but do not know how to show it...they do not know how to approach the issue...and that they're scared to make things worse by bringing it up.
