How beautiful are we really?
Why do we feel?
Since we are imperfect

i love this..every word of it..it left me rendering for words to comment. this is a constant thought of mine about love..its so great when it happens to you but once its gone all thats left is a knife in your heart. it consumes your whole body and makes you feel on top of the world..i've been there...but sometimes being lonely and single has its kicks :) this is an instant favourite :) you should feel proud about this master piece
Love is a two-edged sword; it vacillates on a single spectrum the extremes of which you can determine as you see fit. It is an emotional dichotomy that has varying effects on different people. Emotional darkness is a time to test the extremes that you as a person can withstand. How will you know how fast a car can go, if you don’t test it? The darkness is the extreme opposite of this and you don’t wish it upon yourself it just happens. Furthermore, it is a time to prune all the non-essential things and only maintain that things necessary for vitality- life itself. It is a time for contemplation and reflection; a time to make plans for the future and a time to consider the things you would like to change. Above all else, it a time for personal growth (this come from personal experience): Cloudy weather, rain or the night time has never bothered me it simply exists regardless of whether we like it or not. Love; this togetherness that is idealized a man and woman is not essential maybe it’s a product construed by the media, Hollywood or some other artificial product of man. No one person will ever be able to fulfill all of your desires. As far as beauty, What kind of beauty is it that you speak of? Physical/external Beauty? Is it internal beauty? Or Is it a combination of the two? This perception is altered by the media just look at the television/internet ads, the billboards or the magazines in the grocery store checkout line. Sorry for the long rant, but this poem is very contemplating. You are asking some very fundamental questions about life. Most excellent I might add. Keep being curious. Thanks for sharing this piece.10+
A lot of other people here are going to go into a play by play breakdown on what exactly this poem does. I'm not going to do that. Your poem made me feel pain, emphasize with you, and for a second there embrace the darkness.10
