Can I Have A Munite With The Lion? Poem by Daniel Laari Jacob

Can I Have A Munite With The Lion?

The jungle is set ablaze
And all the animals are grieving inside flames.
I can't believe this is the jungle
You promised to protect,
Every living animal is running for shelter,
For the fear of being burnt into ashes.
But you know what!
The flames increase in lakes,
Kill the ant, tortoise and the grasshopper
That couldn't run
And cause their bones to decay in the jungle.

Where is the roaring voice
That incited the jungle to crown you king?

I will not say you are not a good king
But you have failed the jungle.
