Camp Followers Comments

A real mixed bag this one starts in one direction then does a U-turn displaying a real polar opposite..

I have always thought that the camp followers were sweethearts and wives and sometimes sisters and mothers of the soldiers trying to take care of their loved ones needs- food, clothing, health. I suppose some of these women were prostitutes but I must study this matter further before I think Ella a tad bit harsh in the first lines of this piece
