Calvary Poem by Pleasant Dabbs

Calvary

"Send in the calvary! "
The battle was surmounting
The enemy attacked us
Our allies never backed us
We, all of us, despairing
Our fighting knives and daggers
Our legion had no slaggers
The pathway was encumbered
Our forces were outnumbered

Send him to Calvary!
His followers were hiding
The Jewish elders condemned him
There was no one to defend him
We, all of us still wondering
He had the power to evade it
But when he had surveyed it
He opted for the sacrifice
He was the one to pay the price

Nice poem, except, in line one, the word you want is CAVALRY and not CALVARY. Also, in line seven, did you mean SLACKERS instead of SLAGGERS. I have never heard of slaggers. Will have to look that word up.

Calvary was spelled correctly you must have looked at it wrong. Slaggers I put that way to rhyme assuming that the readers would understand what was being said as you said, instead of using 'slackers'
