Calming The Tempest Poem by Hebert Logerie

Calming The Tempest

Darling, how can we weather the storm?
Why are you still wailing at the top of your head?
Why do you keep telling sad and egregious stories,
And talking about everything that is ugly and gigantic?
Oh! You forget the beauty of the roses in spring,
And the weakness of my volatile and charming heart.

How can we improve our situation?
One day, at last, dear, can we take action?
You and I are guilty. We are both wrong.
It is time to flee the rebellious clouds. Let's move on
The weather is spectacular today; let's go walk on the beach.
Forget the past. Let's go on the wharf. Let's go to the harbor.
