Some men, with their axe and
pruning cutter, came to
cut a big tree near a road.
But the scorching heat of the
extreme summer-noon
made them scared.
They rested under the tree
to escape heat,
enjoyed its sweet fruit.
Inhaled the oxygen,
got solace.
Cut the tree in the afternoon,
indicating our callousness.
I liked how you crafted the poem. The closure lines have lingering effect in the mind of a reader. We must protect trees for the next generation. A great poem. Top Marks! ! ! !
