Called Out Poem by Jael Jaco

Called Out

Rating: 5.0

I called out to 'friends'.
People I thought were a family.

I called out to society.
Looking for what other 'imperfections' they saw.

I called out for acceptance.
Thinking I would find joy in changing like them.

I called out for them.
But they didn't call out for me.

But

He called out for me.
In the beauty of things I saw every day.

He called out for me through flowers
saying 'Look how beautiful, I made that for you.'

He called out for me through clouds
saying 'Look how graceful they go, I made that for you.'

He called out for me through the singing bird
saying 'Hear how euphonious they sound, I did that for you.'

He called out for me through my family
saying 'Feel the love and acceptance, I put them there for you.'

He called out for me to hear Him
saying 'You are my child, I love you, I accept you.'

He called out for me
saying 'I gave you the eye to see the beauty in things, to see me, just for you.'
