When you lose somebody so dear your life does tend to go into some sort of limbo. Not knowing what to do and constantly asking yourself why? I think you have captured this mood perfectly. Great write. Andrew x

Powerful stuff, Ernestine... you've managed to capture this 'unreal' state with great effect, evoking empathy with every flawlessly worded stanza. Great write. Brian

Ernestine>>>The old cliche 'Timing is Everything', is too sadly apropos here.First, so my comment in no wy is misunderstood...there is never a 'Right Time' for sorrow...But being the time of year it is, does stall the acceptance process, and that is all so normal.Conversely, i will close with another equally old, but true cliche: ' Time Heals ', perhaps not to the point that we wish, but if Time erased, so also would go all the memories that although may sting now, will serve as your peace & an eventual positive embrace of what will always be everso dear to you. This work here is beautiful, in every facet of Poetic principle.Keep that pen pumpin' & poppin' young lady! Frank

Ernestine, it's very hard to comment on a poem like this as one never knows what to say. Just remember there are lots of us out here who keep you in mind and who are there if you want to talk. Any time. Sending love to you, Fran xxx
