Caged Wishes Poem by Asma Khan

Caged Wishes

Your name makes my heart skip its beats
a sudden gush of light covers my eyes in fleets

Lost impossibly in moments of hope and imagination
silently, I look at you and admire the god's creation

I bought the distances between us by happily living
you taught me nothing comes without giving

In a timeless world of desire and emotions
nothing compares to your love's notion

Meeting you gives me an undying happiness
beyond love, desire and madness

Delve into my soul for once only
for I will never feel without you lonely

For you are the most radiant beyond all compare
having you in this life is an answer to one's prayer

Each word I wrote about you, I wish you could read
with all gratitude, it's only you, whom I need!
