Feeling restraint
Brewing up a rage
Don't go left
Don't go right
Can't reflect
Can't stay all night
He wants me to grow
But won't let me learn
He does not give me freedom; something I yearn
He says his acts are selfless
Instead he leaves me feeling helpless
My soul wants to soar
But he won't let it past the door
I want to acknowledge my mistakes
Than rather he say 'No..Wait! '
It will be for him alll to blame
For implementing this kind of pain
I understand for me he cares
And hurt me he would never dare
With what all the experinces I would lack
If he decides to hold me back
I want to express
Not at all stress
I want to be able to think
Even if our thoughts together don't link
Grounded between white walls
Bounded; with no where to go..no where at all
I will suffocate
As a result deteoriate
I need to unlace
Why won't you give me my space? ?
Often we walk a narrow path between love's deep feelings and love's oppressive touches. If love touches one oppressively, crowds one in, constricting ones space, then is it truly love? For the first duty of love is to set free that which is loved so that the loved soul can fly higher than it ever has before. Food for thought my friend, from an old thinker. Good poem tho.
