By The Time
By the time my heart
Learned to love, you were gone
I hid and wept in a lonely place
Where there were no wind and no sun
By the time I learned
How to take care, you were lost
To another world where there is
Peace and there is no breach of trust
By the time I reached
To take a glimpse of your face
You had closed your eyes forever
And your body spilled a sweet essence
