That coast for ever, where the billow's roar Moaneth for pity in the Poet's ear; By Hero's faith, and the foreboding tear /// by the heroic faith of inner self the world can be conquered /// great poem penned

Leander, in Greek mythology, would swim across a sea every night to be with his lover Hero. Hero would light a lamp at the top of a tower to guide Leander. One stormy night Leander drowned and Hero, in despair, threw herself from the tower. I like the personification of the ocean; the billows and the coast, the loud waves moaneth for the lost lovers.
