Time settles and rests in these arms like swallows' nests
By and by through those stormy skies
Our stormy eyes glisten
Like diamonds
Our tears frozen solid
Our fears are in darkness
Hold me in your harness
Keep me for the harvest
Some way we'll heal,
We'll smile, we'll feel
We'll laugh and we'll cry
Things will be OK
By and by.

Time settles and rests
I'll finally be rescued
Like all those birds in the stormy skies
All those swallows that couldn't fly
I'll be wrapped in a It's your love T-shirt
It's your love that won't let me be hurt
Save me from the overpass
Save me from the love that doesn't last

Sing away the stormy skies
