2) When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me. Thank you dear Kim that I may copy your Message below. I want to say CONGRATULAIONS to you
THOUGH already in 2021 I still say WELCOME TO POEM HUNTER, and I have copied Kim Barney's response once again: Here is the entire first verse: Abide with me! fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide!
The first two lines are from a hymn I have sung many times in church. Lyrics by Henry Francis Lyte (1793-1847) and the music by William Henry Monk (1823-1889) . Here is the entire first verse: Abide with me! fast falls the eventide; The darkness deepens; Lord, with me abide! When other helpers fail and comforts flee, Help of the helpless, oh, abide with me.
A fascinating poem, even though I did not understand all of it. This is your first one posted on this site, so let me be the first one to welcome you to Poem Hunter!
3) because POEM HUNTER chose you as THE POET OF THE DAY. I regard this Good News so I tell you that here. There is no space to leave this Congrats so I add this in this first poem of you God's Blessings in Abundance
