Butterflies From The Moon Poem by Adrian Antique

Butterflies From The Moon

They visit us every now and then …
A wave of shimmering thin wings
Like signs of what's about to happen -
These quietly magical floating beings.

When Joshua was down and stricken
And my empty hand held him shivering …
These flying petals came suddenly when
I had tears in my eyes, praying.

And when he already had the strength,
Yet, our table was barren and cold …
Like sudden drops in a moment's length,
Arms came reaching for us to hold.

We are gifted with little sparks of miracles -
Friends who became kin through the years …
And a family that completes our healing circles
That breathe life and burn our fears.

When we were lost and on our own,
And laid our hearts open on the phone …
These angel specks of hope made us remember
That love mostly moves in a noiseless whisper.

"Distances do not really matter
for people of the heart -
We may have our own castles
And think we're so blest…
Yet our world can reach as far as our love can touch -
Limitless."
