Things are falling apart
the world is not what it used to be
garbage collection is
garbage distribution when
the trucks knock half of it all over
the alley making sure
the dog poop lands right
in my back yard
I know, I know
and look how bad
things are in stores
look at the prices
going up
and credit
what for?
can't make
my payment
deadlines now
Yes, yes
hey, crime is killing us
there's some homeless problem
and don't forget the drugs
they're everywhere
even the government is
pushing them
Right right
read somewhere that some
general is being charged
or something
because he sold something
to the enemy
there's some war somewhere
something about a nuclear bomb...
Of course, of course,
but that's over there
Here we have problems
problems problems
real problems.
Yep! war is somewhere else! Here we have just problems and problems! Just today on my morning walk watched the garbage spill from overflowing can. Spring winds are at fault!
Thank you, Savita! And you just reminded me of someone from a long time ago who kept blaming nature for pollution. Yes, all those toxic odours from the plant would not be invading the parks in our old neighbourhood were it not for the winds. Yes, nature did it!
A sad state of affairs interspersed with a tad of sarcasm and wit. You've nailed it, while at the same time, bringing back the focus to the problems in our own country. Excellente, mon ami!
Thank you so much, Richard. I think those problems won't be leaving any time soon. There's so much more room for dealing with these sad realities.

I would like to translate this poem
The world or at least society is falling apart. Climate change the gap between rich and poor, neoliberal ideas all of it is pushing is to the brink. The sad thing is it might be over there but it's coming here.
Thank you, Kevn. And I think you are absolutely right. It is coming.
