But If You Couldn't... Poem by Unwritten Soul

But If You Couldn't...

Rating: 4.9

Breathe
Breathe now
We are still here
Living, easy or hard
I understand by looking at your eyes
Please allow my palms to sculpt your smile
On your face, In your heart

Breathe
Breathe
Look at me
Look at my eyes
And confess your pain
I'll dissolve all in flowing tears
if you can't cry, then let me do

Don't you forget
We are just human
no matter who you are
You just like other human
With heart sense same feeling like I do too

Don't you forget
that living life is like traveling the land
You could go high as mountain or low as the valley
Don't you forget nothing is permanent,
So tell your heart to calm, to calm
but if you couldn't...

Breathe
Breathe
Look at me
Look at my eyes
And confess your pain
I'll dissolve all in flowing tears
if you can't cry, then let me do

Then I will let my tears fall down on my palms
Dry on them, as if it going up together with my prayer above
Above us
Above us

Just breathe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a poem that i consider as almost an instant write, which usually i prefer when i pouring words on the poem. Ive consuming memories one of my close people that secretly hiding something from us, but somehow i have intuition to contact them again after long time havent do so, though i never contacted them in person face to face but exchanging words finally revealed that they are struggled with big heartbreaking secret for two years. I couldnt help but try to understand situation and lend my prayer for them. While writing i listen to a song, unknown language but it helped me to write this simple words.... and at the end imagine that the tears that dry on my palm during praying for them is taken up above, a message to God to help them...so we be fine again with His loves. Even how much difficult we have to go through in life, breathe..keep breathing...As He never far for who trust it.

''Breathe Breathe Look at me Look at my eyes And confess your pain I'll dissolve all in flowing tears if you can't cry, then let me do'' - The repetition of this stanza has such empathetic and soothing healing power, that it almost makes the reader cry...when a human heart is filled with such sufferance, which yet has found its way to be expressed...your poem helps to release that sufferance!

Michaela, that is so nice of you...i think when we tried to understand situation of someone else we may feel that sufference, appreciate with what we have and then come to us to try helping them. The repetition of that stanza is really on the purpose as u can tell..Thanks

This is a beautiful reminder that there is always someone to hear and to listen. I am here too for my family. Often so much wasted time on worrying.
