Burning Bush Poem by Ojeikpo Elijah

Burning Bush

Burning bush, burned with flames of gold
A symbol of the divine unfold
You stand so tall, so bright and bold
A sight to behold, for young and old.
With branches reaching to the sky
You seem to speak, but not with a sigh
Your leaves dance with the wind's reply
And the Cloud watched in awe
As if sharing secrets, never to pry.
In the midst of barren land
You stand, a symbol so grand
A beacon of hope, for those who demand
A sign from above, for them to understand.
Your flames, they flicker and flicker
Like a flame that never withers
A symbol of faith, that never quivers
A reminder to all, of the everlasting giver.
For centuries, you have stood
Witnessing the good, the bad, the misunderstood
But still, you burn with the same fire
A symbol of passion, that will never tire.
Oh burning bush, you leave us in awe
With your fiery beauty, we can't ignore
A testament to the divine law
That speaks to us, without a single flaw.
From a distance, you shine so bright
A symbol of hope, in the darkest night
Oh burning bush, you are a sight
A divine creation, that fills us with delight.
So here's my ode, to thee
A burning bush, for all to see
A reminder of the divine, so free
Oh burning bush, you will forever be.
