Bumps & Stumps On Your Road Poem by John Sensele

Bumps & Stumps On Your Road

Bumps on your road, mumps on your throat
Indecision and procrastination in your mind
Stain and brine on your coat
Ought not promote axes for you to grind.

Bumps on your road, stumps in your plans
Confusion and profusion in execution
Sins and pins in your clans
Ought not divert offers of affection.

Bumps on your road, mumps on your palate
Proclivities and activities teeming with danger
Thirst for ego-tripping on your slate
Ought not prevent you from growing into a ranger.

Bumps on your road, jumps in your career
Kleptomania and insomnia in your romance
Disloyalty and disappointment in your rear
Ought not curtail your desire for a dance.
