Brrr Poem by Deanna Samuels

Brrr

Returning home from moderate climes,
brrr, what a difference - straight into winter chills.
Snow lay all around with icy roads and footpaths.
Let's think back to Athens and warming sun!

Don't want to go out but needs dictate must,
have to stock up empty fridge and pantry.
Put my Michelinman thick bubble coat on
and into knee-high fleecy lined boots and away.

Written at Courtice, Ontario, shortly after returning from vacation - 15th December 2025.
