A broken promise breaks the heart and plunges one into misery and despair. A lovely poem which will surely serve as a forewarning to all readers.

No more words or explanation is required since you have made it abundantly clear. Thanks. Promises are the words..that pierced the knife in ones heart! .... They cannot be trusted though they are written deep in ones heart. One cannot forget the words that pierced the knife in ones heart!

Trust enlightens inner spirit. Broken promises bring pain and agony whether in real life or in dream. Echos break in air and we hear them in inner heart. Very mind-blowing drafting of this poem with interesting imagery makes this special. EXCELLENT WORK.10

Trust is most fragile and most precious thing to break. It is done so easily with broken promises. Takes a long time to recover and to build and create new trust in life. Very apt poem with some beautiful lines. Thanks for sharing Geetha!

Farmer's problems emanate from broken promises. A promise made must be kept. Beautiful write.

So beautifully expressed. One cannot forget the words that pierced the knife in ones heart.....so beautifully put. It's true that broken promises hurt one like a sharp knife. Trust must be the basis of every relation. To break someone's trust is an unforgivable mistake. Enjoyed reading.

When trust is broken, the heart like a mirror breaks into several shards......! It will be difficult to glue the broken pieces.... A very poignant write!

Breaching trust is very painful.Trust is a precious human value that keeps the society together. All our social institutions are based on trust. When trust dwindles there is indiscipline and chaos. A marvelous write, deeply touching.

A deep and emotional write. Among the qualities I most admire are loyalty, honesty and trustworthiness. A broken promise can destroy all three

The injury caused by the betrayal by the trusted accompanies one till the end. The inference drawn at the end of the insightful poem is simply superb. Thanks for sharing.
