Broken Mirror Poem by Hussein A. Kamil

Broken Mirror

Going to where I ealized her existence, two figures I find conversing.

Her figure of an Aphrodite and her friend Athena, Energizing;

And optimistic. Like nothing slightly bad will happen, it is joy and success we were anticipating:

But a heartache of a heartache into which I fallen. As before, not knowing my eyes will never set on my tantalizing;

Goddess anymore, a poisoned arrow with melancholic sorrow, soul-piercing;

A nightmare of a nightmare that shut'd down all the joyous feeling.

Didn't know what to say, didn't know what to do

The tears in her eyes got me paralyzed;

And an obsidian, no, a diamond sharpened tear,

that teared my amorous soul into a thousand tears.

Each and every tear reflects, like a broken mirror,

that desolating moment of my heavenly rose, saying goodbye and leaving.
