Broken Is Beautiful Poem by Earnest Gatuma

Broken Is Beautiful

I love my flaws never my problem,
They create a unique identity
Denial so as to fit in is lame,
Acceptance of my intrinsic incapability
My background so harsh yet adaptable
How many like me see death welcoming
ADHD labeled that I can't agree more
Perfect is boring,
Normal is mediocre
Queer is liberal exploration
Weird is an alienated gift
Conservatives are narcissistic judges
But still they can't surpass a jurors' chaos,
Stereotypes who hold to tradition
Living on other people's expectation.
