Broken From Afar Poem by Adams King

Broken From Afar

I heard the loud noise
Boom! From afar
Like Hiroshima's dark day

Heard the glass shattered
I never saw it pieces
But I know that sound

The storm approaches
Bright dawn slowly
Inviting the night

Tears upon my eyelashes
Hangs, ready to fall
Like leaves embracing autumn

Though they're but shadows
But shadows they say
Is a reflecting revelation
