Broken Dreams Poem by Micron Jan

Broken Dreams

Another broken dream,
another hope worn thin.
They say words are just words,
so why do I let them in?

Promises fracture again,
like glass beneath my feet.
Why do I keep believing
what I know will leave me weak?

Life no longer makes sense,
its answers shut their doors.
The pain they leave behind
is ignored—like it was never mine before.
