Broadcasting To Aliens In The Universe Poem by Paul Hartal

Broadcasting To Aliens In The Universe

In 1895 the Italian engineer Guglielmo Marconi
converted air molecules of sound into radio waves.
The radio waves are in fact
invisible electromagnetic radiation of pure light.
The sound of music could ride
on these silent waves. Radio transmitters
transubstantiate music into pure light.

Light travels at a constant speed of
300,000 kilometers per second
and music spreading through the universe this way
involves space contraction like an accordion.
The waves also traverse through our body,
heart, liver and brain before expanding,
rippling out to the stars and galaxies.

It is very possible that aliens living on
other planets in the universe
can listen to radio or TV broadcast
originating from Earth and enjoy the music
of Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Elvis Presley.
Perhaps they like even the Yellow Submarine
of the Beatles.
