Most beautiful composition....well done dear poet....awesomeness
This is really beautiful. Emptiness gives the realization of what the presence of others mean. Beautiful words
Exactly Varsha, there truly is a 'presence' in absence! So very true!
One of the masterpieces of Great Tagore. Who am I to comment on his poetic genius! " I stand under the golden canopy of thine evening sky and I lift my eager eyes to thy face. " Simply masterly.

Let me for once feel that lost sweet touch in the allness of the universe. Profound and spiritual.
BuBut infinite is thy mansion, my lord, and seeking her I have to come to thy door. mystical poem as often as Tagore's poems. tony
Genuis visible within. This poem speaks and we do nothing but listen to a verse of wisdom
A true mystical poet of the 20th Century who didn't compromise himself by his use of the English language and grammar to express his unique talent and gift for the literary arts.

this stuff strikes with wonderful visuals, and yet its text is upgraded by sadness....
A poem conveying all the spiritual elements. We are all in search of eternity but often haven't the glimpse of it. God is eternal and so, eternity goes with god. Eternity means ever continuous and non-perishable. 'Let me for once feel that lost sweet touch '- this line conveys a lot. It reflects one thing in essential - 'lost touch'- the grace that the poet received in his previous births. He longs for that.
A wonderful poem of faith so beautifully expressed and crafted. So deeply touching
