Ode to a bright star, such tender romantic and beautiful sentences: the journey of this ode is about the fallen mask of snow on the mountains and heath- still steadfast, still unchanging, kisses on the ripening breast of my beautiful love, To feel its soft fall and swelling forever
To feel for ever its soft fall and swell, Awake for ever in a sweet unrest, Still, still to hear her tender-taken breath, And so live ever- or else swoon to death...........beautiful poem penned; there are the bright star living ever in the brightest poetic wisdom......
'Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast' - so beautiful!
Reading this poem again, after so long a time, reminds me why Keats is one on my favorite poets, why I still consider him second only to Shakespeare in writing sonnets and his superior in the lyricism in them. -GK
'No- yet still stedfast, still unchangeable, Pillow'd upon my fair love's ripening breast, To feel for ever its soft fall and swell, Awake for ever in a sweet unrest' - so lovely lines to read!
This poem is a true classic! It is a favorite by Keats of many, including me. At least, the audio here is not one of those robotic ones usually used.
The moving waters at their priestlike task Of pure ablution round earth's human shores, Or gazing on the new soft-fallen mask Of snow upon the mountains and the moors-......touching expression. A beautiful poem composed by John Keats.
