A nice showcase of poems with varied themes! Thank you Bri for your efforts and hard work to bring to the fore other poets' works which otherwise may be skipped from readers' eyes.
First an administrative complement, for the streamlined naming - Bravo. This showcase has it all - the poems and your notes - this Showcase is your best yet!
Finally my NOVEMBER 2023 showcase seems to be in order aka in the form I want it to be in. THANKS, FINALLY, TO PoemHunter! ! bri : )
I have to come back to add comments on my Poem re: From Womb To Tomb. I have stated in my earlier comments that I always stand for pro life. I have to qualify my statement that in case the life of a mother is compromised, I support abortion.
Thank you, Bri, for all your efforts in sharing these poems. If I have time, I will visit the Poets' pages to read more of their poems.
I have read all the 9 poems included in the showcase. Most of the poems have meaningful message. They provide readers great thoughts to ponder about. The poem, ' Cliff To Insanity ' is very intriguing. I just visited the Poet's Page of Riv Omin to rate the poem.
I like your introductory poem, Bri. It made me smile. Very entertaining and well crafted with nice rhyme. Glad to know you have your wife's trusty PC that enables you to put together a Poem Showcase for the month of October.
Actually, I mistitled this showcase 'October' when I already HAD an October showcase. Now this one is clearly for NOVEMBER, but.....it is OK to read ANYTIME! ! !
Actually, this poem was inspired by a friend whose daughter has special needs; Down Syndrome with slight Autism. She is nonverbal and nonfunctional. In addition to this poem, I also wrote 2 poems entitled; Silence and Always A Child.
I've been forgetting to visit those two poems: Silence and Always A Child. I'll look at one now as I finish my breakfast. : )
Among my poem comments on your poem Silence, ....or was it From Womb To Tomb...or was it in messages to you? ? I mentioned Down's Syndrome.
First and foremost, I want to thank you, Bri, for including my poem, 'From Womb To Tomb' in your October Showcase. I always stand for Pro Life and this poem and comments meant a lot to me.
(cont.) Down's Syndrome people: 'The symptoms of Down syndrome, such as speech and language difficulties range from mild to severe from patient to patient.'
Thank you Bri for adding my poem to your showcase. Read some of the other poems. Really nice. As time permits will read more. Thanks again for all your efforts.
