Book of Judges in the Bible, chapter 14. Samson was actually stronger than the lion, by the way.
OOPS. ....I don't even remember 'alligator' being in the poem the first time I read it! ! ! Kim, did you EDIT it? ? ? ? : )
No, Bri, the poem has not been edited. The alligator has been there the whole time.
Anyway, we had parked near a large drainage ditch in which an alligator was 'resting'. It was about 6 feet long. I waved a broken tree branch in front of its face. (cont.)
(cont.) An older brother and I were in the Okefenokee Swamp Wildlife Refuge which straddles the Georgia-Florida state line, so it might have been a Georgia alligator. Who cares? ? !
So THAT'S why Bri's brain is all scrambled up. I wondered how he got that way. : ) : ) : )
This is an amusing poem. But I can imagine Bri's pain(if the story is true) when stung by a swarm of bees and also the pain he had to endure to pick out those dead bees from the sandwich.
(cont.) Today I put honey on oatmeal. OF COURSE I ATE THE SANDWICH, with dead bees added! ! ! 'WASTE NOT, WANT NOT' I learned as a kid. : )) bri
I give 5 stars for poem plus 5 ***** stars for Poet's Notes. I've also clicked on the 'favorites' heart. I suspect it was a PB&J(elly) sandwich. (cont.)
Dear Kim, You would make a fantastic reporter for any newspaper. DO 'THEY' STILL publish newspapers (on news paper) ? ? ? ? A time or two I filled in for a brother delivering 'papers'. ;)
I slipped down a hill and landed on a hive so I can relate Bravo! ! ! !
An excellent and amazing poem for Bri (about Bri) . Very pity he had not read this gorgeous poem. PERHAPS his epoussée has forbidden him
