Breathless - Amalekite Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Breathless - Amalekite

David's messenger
is a breathless
Amalekite with
torn clothing
and hair full of
dirt who stumbles
into Camp Ziklag
with the news:

The people have
fled from the battle,
many of the people
are fallen and dead,
and Saul and Jonathan
his son are dead also.

(Ref. to 2 Samuel 1: 4
Of the Old Testament) .
