Rating: 5.0

Everytime I close my eyes
it's like a dark paradise
It's there, waiting for me to be at ease
I sit for hours begging please, just make this madness go away

I think everybody on this earth at some point of goes through such a condition when they feel worthless and yes, then comes the time when he introspects himself and brings about a change in himself which is not only peaceful for his own mind but also put others in ease. Thanks for sharing the poem with us!

Very emotional and expressive poem. What we think of as breaking point is really a new starting point. We reach at a breaking point in pondering our own feeling and finally realize that all that negativity has not helped. Nothing has really changedI that is when we start over and do whatever little we can do to help ourselves. I am sure this poem will help many to know the starting point of their life.

dear kimberlee, first, welcome to poemhunter. so many poems here! by so many kinds of people! from the two you've posted, it strikes me you think like a poet. and you write accessibly and with passion- good things. and mainly i want to say, if you're not already convinced of it, that you are a person of infinite worth just as you are. how do i know this, you might ask? because you are made by God in God's image. therein lies your dignity and nobility. hold this truth close to your heart. writing for me helps put me, my feelings, my convictions, at a distance to get a better view of myself. i hope it does the same for you. keep writing and take good care of yourself as the manager of your own body and life. glen kappy

Emotionally powerful poem. But one should go fighting till the end and not reach the breaking point. Enjoying in facing challenges is what life is all about. you have spilled the pain in a very poetic way. Thanks for sharing and Congrats.

It is such a masterpiece. I can't believe that that the writer of this wonderful poem could have reached her breaking point. No.... never. One who can introspect and analyse things cannot disintegrate. Thanks. I quote: I sit for hours begging please, just make this madness go away The guilt, it overwhelms me.... to the point that I can barely move thoughts.... keep eating away at my self-conscience

Kimber Lee, because you tell me how you feel instead of use vivid images to show me and draw me in, my reaction to this is ah, well, another youngster's angst poem. Try reading some good contemporary poetry to see how fine poets show, don't tell (Mary Oliver, Jack Gilbert) . if you have time, check out my new website: jeffersoncarterverse.com Tell me how you like it, and, if you do, perhaps share it with interested friends? Thanks! Yrs, JC
