A marvelous and powerful poem. Wonderful thoughts to ponder about.
P2 Straw Lives Flickering Lights Passing yes God gave a limited length life but potential for unlimited breath God is merciful please forgive me merciful God when I see pain suffering torment my own anger imperfections because I do not understand the intensity of suffering allowed so long Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P1 Straw Lives Flickering Lights Passing it seems a lesson for the living not for brief flickering lights passing into lost death nights not lessons for brain impaired incapable of life understanding cruel circumstances understanding what perceptions do brain impaired perceive none if absolute impaired
P2 Babies Born With Short Straw Odds babies curse born with damned parent need alcohol drug use craving additions curse cigarette nicotine puff addictions smoke lives hunger lives starvation lives heredity handicap lives poverty poor lives not being God I cannot say if or how this is fair Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P1 Babies Born With Short Straw Odds babies born with life threatening illnesses life threatening deformities may but a single breath live transpire immediately or experience ephemeral brief moments brief tortured breaths still born babies live not miscarried in pregnancy during loss pregnancy babies born with alcohol drug additions
P2 One Lifetime One Chance Stacked Odds but is this fair it seems some are born with the odds stacked born with insurmountable stacked odds not with privilege silver spoons but broken plastic spoon in mouths with no spoons dirty fingers to eat offal Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P1 One Lifetime One Chance Stacked Odds it is true that each life has only one lifetime and one chance to reveal all potential all possibilities therefore God is fair to each is born one lifetime one chance all will have limited length lives breathe a limited number of breaths
I wrote the poem 'Working In A Covid 19 Clog Clockwork World', inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life', by the poet Yiyan Han and dedicated to Yiyan Han.
COVID 19: A Masked Life Reality the present world reality unsettles scares too many with fear anxiety when people dare stop still to think Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P2 Life Reduced To Crazy Bean Counter Values few want to stop think face reality develop mind soul into empathy understanding awareness catalysis; change requires too much care effort for a labour pleasure seeking release from work problems pressure society; Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P1 Life Reduced To Crazy Bean Counter Values neglect obvious has dimmed awareness beneath shattered lives hopes dreams pain feelings suffering in fog minds abandoned when house of cards fell; this is a society of stilts built on games distractions run on tea coffee drugs alcohol to magic prescription powders the illegal class drugs devastating lives;
P2 One Paramount Rule: From First To Third World dismissed poor with cruel words phrases like the great unwashed fate poverty ridden have less value; lost looked away from people left in neglect need when passing it is too hard inconvenient to care; Inspired by the poem 'Breadth Of Life' by the poet Yiyan Han. Dedicated to the poet Yiyan Han.
P1 One Paramount Rule: From First To Third World acknowledge the crime obvious throughout the entire net world in the most rich elite technology advanced countries in the world; to the most poor impoverished one truth is socially paramount wealth political power above laws rules untouchable supreme;
We Are Not Born Equal I could easily argue that God is not fair that babies are born in poverty with health issues extreme that cannot be medically healed even though wealth can often buy medicine operations giving life prolonging life a better life the advantages of born with silver spoon privilege's versus plastic spoon limitations is obvious without even addressing first and third world issues it is obvious real life has no equality
A powerful and very inspiring poem. Great thoughts that impart wisdom and will find their way in our hearts. " Many broad lives are short But it's these great lives The real soul of all humanity And light up the way of future." Wonderful lines from a great poem. Five Stars! ! !
The obvious has less value, awareness, this is a society of games, distractions, few want to think, face reality, develop mind and soul into understanding. Perhaps this requires too much effort, for a pleasure seeking release from work society, but the present world reality unsettles and scares too many with anxiety, when they stop to think.
A poem I wrote back in 1982, 'State Of 20th Century Man', asks questions directly relating to some of these ideals and issues, but below the surface the questions are deep. The poem is writing on several levels of consciousness, it requires several readings, meditation on some lines, to go beneath the surface.
I love the ideals of this poem, the aspiration and attainment of these ideals, should be humanities quest. 'God is fair Each life has only one lifetime' I could easily argue that God is not fair, that babies are born in poverty and health issues that cannot be healed. The advantages of born with silver spoon privilege's, versus plastic spoon limitations, without even addressing first and third world issues is obvious.
I loved it, made me think.
